Gucci Mane Disses Young Jeezy In ?Truth (Not a Jeezy Diss - Idolator

After years of exchanging disses, Gucci Mane feels hard-pressed to settle the score with fellow Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy. Despite having just wrapped his new mixtape (Trap God, out October 17), Gucci still felt inspired enough to record ?Truth (Not a Jeezy Diss)? ? in sum, a rehashing of details fit for Degrassi: The Next Generation, including fights over a girl?and sightings at a birthday party. Check out ?Truth? after the jump:

Gucci Mane, ?Truth (Not a Jeezy Diss)?

According to Young Jeezy however, ?Truth? may not be revealing enough. After offering his vague recollections of meeting Rick Ross at the BET Hip Hop Awards, Young Jeezy revealed that Gucci Mane apparently called a few times about recording songs together ? an offer that the Snowman refused. ?I mean, I feel like everybody know that boy retarded, nobody take him seriously,? Young Jeezy told Power 106. ?He got an ice cream cone on his face.?

On Twitter, Gucci even invited Young Jeezy to his Trap God release party, then cast out a $100,000 bet: ?I can and will beat Jeezy ass #JUSTTRUTHS.? The goofiness of Gucci?s Twitter invitation, ?Truth? and Jeezy?s statements makes it hard to believe that seven years ago, the Gucci-Jeezy beef may have had fatal consequences. The last time bets were placed ? a $10,000 bounty for a Gucci Mane pendant, as cast out in ?Stay Strapped? ? Gucci shot and killed one of the five assailants who allegedly took to Young Jeezy?s challenge. Gucci maintained that he was acting in self-defense and the murder charges were dropped.

What do you think of Gucci Mane?s ?Truth?? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook and Twitter.

(AP) ? Republicans Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan went back to school on Saturday to rally college students in all corners of all-important Ohio and hammer at President Barack Obama for going easy on China over unfair trade practices that they said are costing American jobs. Obama took precious time off the campaign trail to practice for the next debate against his GOP rival.

It was an unspoken acknowledgment of the importance that Obama attaches to upping his game in Debate No.2 that the president is largely dropping out of sight for five straight days in the final weeks of the race to prepare for Tuesday's encounter in Hempstead, N .Y.

Even while cloistered for debate prep at a resort in Williamsburg, Va., though, the president didn't completely cede the spotlight to Romney. His weekly radio and Internet address highlighted the Obama administration's work to revive the U.S. auto industry ? a message aimed squarely at working-class voters in manufacturing-heavy states like Ohio.

Romney, for his part, told a crowd at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth that Obama was ducking an important decision on whether China is manipulating its currency to gain a trade advantage. A decision was due on Monday, but the Treasury Department said Friday the decision won't come until after global finance officials meet in early November. That means a decision is unlikely before the Nov. 6 election.

"It's time for us to stand up to China for their cheating," Romney declared. "It's got to stop."

Romney framed the issue squarely as a matter of jobs, saying cheap Chinese products were driving American companies out of business.

"We've got to get those jobs back and make trade to be fair," Romney declared.

Ryan, too, criticized the administration for failing to hold China accountable for its trade practices. During a morning appearance in northeastern Ohio at Youngstown State University, he told a crowd of about 1,400 that his hometown of Janesville, Wis., was much like theirs ? a "blue-collar, factory town" where the struggles of the auto industry hit home hard.

He faulted Obama for failing to address trade problems with China and said the president had led the country toward a higher national debt, steeper taxes and insufficient job growth.

"We can't keep going down this path," he said. "We can't keep accepting this is the new normal."

The Wisconsin congressman then headed for Bowling Green State University, in the northwestern part of the state, to pop in on a few tailgate parties before the school's football team takes on his alma mater, Miami (Ohio).

The Obama campaign dismissed the Republicans' tough talk on China as nothing more than talk.

"Mitt Romney will never crack down on China's cheating ? just look at his record," Obama campaign spokesman Danny Kanner said in a statement. He said Romney had opposed Obama administration efforts to impose tariffs on Chinese-made tires and had invested in companies that shipped American jobs to China.

Obama's campaign upped its celebrity quotient as the two sides claw for any advantage in a tight race: Actor Morgan Freeman's commanding voice narrates a new ad telling voters that Obama has met the nation's challenges and "the last thing we should do is turn back now."

On Thursday, Bruce Springsteen will team up with former President Bill Clinton to rally Obama voters in Parma, Ohio, in what will be the singer's first political appearance this campaign. "The Boss" also plans a second event Thursday, in Ames, Iowa. Springsteen campaigned for Obama in 2008, too.

Both sides are devoting huge time and effort to Ohio, this year's battleground to end all battlegrounds, where polls show Obama with a slight edge over Romney. Saturday's emphasis by the two sides on the auto industry and manufacturing jobs was designed to connect with blue-collar voters there.

Both sides also are keenly aware of the importance of this year's series of three presidential debates. Romney's strong performance in the first debate on Oct. 3 gave his campaign a much-needed jolt of energy. Joe Biden's aggressive counterpunch in a debate with Ryan on Thursday cheered Democrats, but some critics thought the vice president overdid the theatrics with his frequent eye rolls, headshakes and broad grins suggesting incredulity.

Tuesday's town-hall style debate at Hofstra University will have an audience of about 80 undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization. Moderator Candy Crowley of CNN will select from among questions on foreign and domestic policy submitted by the audience.

The final debate, covering foreign policy, will be Oct. 22 in Boca Raton, Fla.

Romney spent nearly four hours Saturday morning at a Columbus hotel preparing for the next debate, then boarded his campaign bus to head for Shawnee State. From there, the Romney bus headed for Lebanon in southwest Ohio.

The Obama campaign isn't leaving Ohio unguarded for long: Michelle Obama will visit Delaware and Cleveland on Monday and the president will be in Athens on Wednesday.

To help keep Democratic ads like Freeman's new appeal for Obama up and running in the hotly contested battleground states, the president dispatched Biden to a pair of private fundraisers in Connecticut and New York on Saturday.

Both sides are furiously organizing ground troops in the battleground states and trying to lock in ballots wherever early voting is under way. The Democrats' "gotta vote" bus tour was in Hampton and Norfolk, Va., on Saturday.

The Republicans had Romney son Craig working the Republicans' "early vote express bus tour" in Virginia, national party chairman Reince Priebus making the GOP's one millionth voter contact in New Hampshire and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez working the grass roots in Nevada.

Open Thread: ?Cooking Isn't Easy, and It Isn't Creative? - Balloon Juice

By Anne Laurie October 13th, 2012

As part of its Sunday ?Food & Drink? issue, the NYTimes profiles cantankerous cook/editor Christopher Kimball:

... I was at the meeting for the unveiling of the Perfect Soft-Boiled Egg. It?s one of those recipes that isolate the weird, wayward essence of the Cook?s Illustrated project, a seemingly boner-proof preparation that, when fixed with Kimball?s unsparing eye, reveals itself to be fundamentally broken. And therein lies the narrative arc of the C.I. recipe ? invariably it begins with the insuperable flaw, that through toil and experimentation is resolved in a sudden, improbable revelation that, in-house, is known as the aha moment? Kimball compares the arc to that of a Sherlock Holmes whodunit, and no recipe ratchets the stakes higher than the Perfect Soft-Boiled Egg, a single-ingredient obstacle course that turns entirely on technique.

The P.S.B.E. is slated for the January/February issue and falls to Andrea Geary, from the magazine?s stable of overeducated, underpaid editor/cooks who research, test and write the stories. While the 20ish editors around the table resemble bright children at a model U.N. convocation, Geary, a hale, wiry 46, is the one you want beside you aboard the helicopter when smoke begins to billow from the controls. Her mien expresses unfussy competence; before coming to the magazine, Geary cooked at an inn on the Scottish Highlands, roasting venison in a coal-burning stove for hunting parties of drunk Italians. Even among the high-strung editorial ranks at C.I., Geary is considered a little intense.

f you?re wondering what could be especially difficult about boiling an egg, you should have heard her. The Flaw ? the unappetizing probability of either a chalky yolk or a runny white ? occurs because the yolk gets cooked before the white, and the desired temperature window turns out to be harrowingly small, so the ideal preparation must set the white while leaving the yolk custardy, and not do it too rapidly. Oh, and tossing a fridge-temperature egg into boiling water will cause the air inside to expand and sometimes crack it, and apparently no two cooks can agree on exactly what simmering means, and third, the number of eggs must be compensated for by adjusting the amount of boiling water to keep cooking time constant. Geary recited further facts imperiling the P.S.B.E., and after a while the difficulty of boiling an egg at home with anything like success sounded to be on the order of a bone-marrow transplant. This appeared to please everyone, particularly Kimball, and the meeting moved on to Dressing Up Meatloaf.

?Most magazines don?t write about failure, but we do,? Kimball told me later. ?Disaster in the kitchen puts the reader at ease, and that?s why we start our recipes with it.?...

Something about this guy seems vaguely familiar?

... Like most things about Kimball, the facts of his biography are more convoluted than those of the public persona. Just how much more is something I discovered while he talked about the summer after he graduated from high school, when he enlisted in an overland trek from London to Nairobi, traveling with fellow Phillips Exeter students in a caravan of Land Rovers. (One of their chaperones was an English teacher with a bent for Indian spirituality and encounter groups; that one of the country?s top prep academies countenanced a three-month trip across war-torn Africa can be construed only as a curiosity of the late-?60s.) Kimball concedes the trip was ?totally ill advised,? particularly in light of the group?s nearly expiring of thirst after taking a detour through the Sahara ? Kimball recalls passing dead camels ? and being taken prisoner after speeding through a Congolese Army roadblock. ?It was at night, and they had put us in a little hut,? Kimball recalls, ?and the guy in charge wasn?t there, and the No. 2 guy wanted to kill us.? After the scare, the students needed to unwind. ?There were Pygmies in this village,? Kimball recalled. ?They were sitting on huge truck tires. I remember one night, we sat around a campfire and we got them high. We took out this huge joint, and everyone smoked dope and got high with a bunch of Pygmies in the Congo.?...

Speaking of which, what?s for dinner?

Tropical Storm Rafael dumps rain in east Caribbean

(AP) ? Tropical Storm Rafael lashed the eastern Caribbean with heavy rains, raising the threat of floods on islands around the region.

The storm was centered about 95 miles (150 kilometers) east-northeast of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands at 11 p.m. EDT Saturday. It had top sustained winds of 50 mph (85 kph) and was moving north at 14 mph (22 kph).

The U.S. National Hurricane Center said the storm was expected to gain some strength and could become a hurricane by late Monday. Forecasters said the storm was on a northward trek and was expected to turn toward the north-northwest on Sunday as it moves away from the Virgin Islands in the coming hours.

As a result of the storm, Cape Air and regional carrier LIAT cancelled flights Saturday that had been scheduled to leave from Puerto Rico's main international airport. The Carnival Victory cruise ship also cancelled a stop in St. Maarten on Saturday.

Flooding was reported in the eastern Caribbean island of Trinidad, where the storm caused a brief power outage at the island's main international airport late Friday. At least one flight was cancelled.

A tropical storm warning remained in effect for the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua, Montserrat, St. Maartin and Guadeloupe, among other places.

Puerto Rico was under a tropical storm watch.

TJantunen.com ? Is Pinterest the Best Option For Your Business?

Oct 13 2012

Professionals state that with the launch of internet business, the idea of market has changed. Actually, professionals state that internet business has basically widened the definition of the word ?market?. At this point, with the launch of social networking sites, the range of the market has increased. This really is opened new facet considering the launch of the idea of Pinterest application. These days, every single business person is desperate to utilize this application to expand his business activity. He?s keen while he would gain a boost in traffic to his site which provides him sufficient probabilities to turn into beneficial sales. However, the billion dollar challenge is; ?is Pinterest the best choice for each business?? This vexed concern needs to be looked at from various ways:

Social marketing:

Social media or social marketing is definitely linked with Pinterest. ?Because professionals point out that these run together. Simultaneously, professionals are of the perception that performance of social networking relies upon a number of elements. They assert that it needs a sufficient amount of knowledge to increase Search engine optimization by using social networking. It?s for this function individuals seek the services of experts in network marketing strategy. These specialists attempt to position the product in as high position of Search engine optimization as it can be. The application of social networking can also be relying on an additional component and that?s the business person should make sure that at regular intervals he needs to perform product review and come up with essential changes on the social networking. Only these scenarios the Pinterest application would be useful to the business house.

Nature of business:

As a matter of fact the overall assumption that social networking will boost the SEO can?t be applied like a thumb rule. Type of business or even the kind of product put on this media performs a similarly crucial part in impacting on the Search engine optimization. These days, the launch of Pinterest for that method is exclusively associated to the kind of product offered to be placed on the web. Keep in mind, there are lots of social networking and every of these media usually serves distinct class of individuals. Thus, you ought to be attentive in selecting the kind of media by which he can communicate via Pinterest. Professionals are also of the perception that some items like arts and artifacts are most appropriate for using Pinterest. Simultaneously, a few of the business houses that have a lesser number of rivals typically don?t require the Pinterest media.

Consider the target:

The overall concept of marketing is that the methods to be implemented depend upon the consumer or the target. Consequently, the performance of the Pinterest also depends upon the target. A few of the items like for instance beauty need far more promotion as compared to jewelry products. Thus in such instances the Pinterest could be of great use. The image picked to be added on the Pinterest must be exclusively related to the product actually put on the social networking. Another essential element that need considering is the price involved with putting the product on the social networking while using Pinterest mode.

?

DR Marketing Group: Take control of your financial destiny today. You can turn your auction hobby into an auction business with the Auction Genius Bootstrap CD. This simple, easy to follow business solution will improve your on-line auction business by giving you structured step-by-step lessons that will increase your revenue and put you on the road to financial freedom.

Cyberweb: E-Bay is the most popular auction website in America and the Auction Genius Bootstrap system teaches you how to make E-Bay and other auction websites work for you.

DR Marketing Group: We are going to take an inside look on how to build an auction business rather than an auction hobby with the Auction Genius Bootstrap system.

Cyberweb: Did you know that about half of one percent of seller?s on E-Bay actually succeed and the rest fail? Many people are looking for a how-to-get-rich-quick scheme and try their luck on E-Bay and other auction websites.

DR Marketing Group: But you don?t have to gamble on this hobby; you can turn it into an actual business and be successful!

Cyberweb: You may already know, bootstrapping is a business term that means to start a business with little or no capital, and that is exactly what the Auction Genius Bootstrap system shows you how to do.

DR Marketing Group: You don?t have to have a lot of money to be successful at on-line auction trading sites like E-Bay. Most on-line auctions are free to join, and like with any business, you just need a plan. The Auction Genius Bootstrap system gives you a step-by-step plan and more.

Cyberweb: The Auction Genius Bootstrap CD is a four step system for creating an E-Bay business instead of an E-Bay hobby.

DR Marketing Group: How does your system work?

Cyberweb: This complete training CD gives you simple step-by-step repeatable tools that allow you to use the same steps ever time you want to action a different product. With its easy to use format, you can stop and start the lessons on your own schedule.

Cyberweb: You?ll learn how to choose products for your profitable auction business, how to know in advance if your merchandize will sell, how to list your products, and how to eliminate mistakes, plus so much more.

DR Marketing Group: Cyberweb Solutions, the makers of the Auction Genius training collection, has been involved and established with the internet business for decades. Sydney Johnston, the founder of this incredible training tool, is going to tell us more about it. What can you tell us about your system?

Cyberweb: The best thing that I can tell you is that if you follow the four steps, you will always know exactly what to do.

DR Marketing Group: What if something goes wrong?

Cyberweb: If you occasionally find something that doesn?t work well, you know that you?ve messed up on one of the four steps. So you just need to go back and check where you went wrong.

DR Marketing Group: Why do a lot of people not succeed in online auctioning?

Cyberweb: A lot of people don?t succeed because they just get out there and don?t know what they?re doing. Some just won?t be bothered to educate themselves.

DR Marketing Group: If only they took the time to learn your four steps.

Cyberweb: Many will just go to E-Bay, which is the worst place to learn because they have their own agenda. Their agenda is to get you to spend as much money as you can, and second is to be totally dependent on E-Bay.

DR Marketing Group: I understand that agenda, naturally. But it?s not the same as yours or mine. It is great how you can make money by listing products.

Cyberweb: It?s not in our best interest to just follow the E-Bay line, because you?ll end up having a job with E-Bay. You will be an E-Bay employee. By not doing that is where your money is going to be made.

Out of the Woods: Thinking--That's What It's All About

?I came for my drinking but stayed for my thinking.? That saying is true for me.? Thirty years after my first 12-step meeting I still wrestle with my thinking. But then, what else is there? And doesn?t all personal growth, all change and all self-improvement grow from changes to the way we think, and what we think about?

A couple of years ago I began working with a Cognitive therapist. After years of insight-based therapy I knew that I knew my story so well I could recite it. And I had baskets full of insight, but I still needed to change behaviors, and I was still undone by my feelings. Cognitive work helped me to understand that feelings are always preceded by thoughts. Not always obvious and often hard to catch but there they are. But cognitive work is work?it?s less fun than story therapy or insight therapy. It?s a lot like doing Boot Camp at the gym versus ?Zumba or Ballet. It seems like some very old advice is new and fresh and real. Marcus Aurelius wrote a book about thinking called, ?To Himself? where he sorted out his thoughts and the way they made him feel. And Shakespeare said, ?Nothing is good or bad but that our thinking makes it so.?

I know, nice for them to say, but the more time I spend on the cognitive work the more I see this really is so.

MAC Celestial Kiss Lip Gloss Swatches:-

Celestial Kiss is the lightest colour launched in the?Heavenly Creatures Cremesheen Glasss Range and this colours comes off as a?pale peach lip gloss with white micro-shimmer which is not visible on the lips. It is really a?very light shade that leaves a creamy sheen behind and you will find application easy because it applies evenly without looking patchy?on the?lips.? It will last for about 2 to 3 hours on the lips at the max.

You can see how fine the shimmer is the picture below

?

As the shade was ?too pale for me I applied a coral lipstick underneath and topped it over with the Celestial lip gloss. This way it gave a juicy natural look to my lips and sat comfortably without making them feel sticky.

If used alone the shade was too sheer and was not able to cover lip pigmentation therefore a liner or a lipstick is ?a must.

?

MAC Celestial Kiss Lip Gloss LIPSWATCH

?

It?s neither to thick or thin in consistency and vanilla scent ?makes me wear it more often.

?

  • creamy finish
  • Nice vanilla fragranced
  • Does not bleed
  • Does not settlee into fine lines

What I don?t like about MAC Celestial Kiss Lip Gloss:-

?

  • Will suit only skin tone below NC 36 -37
  • A limited edition
  • Lasts for only 2 to 3 hours
  • Formula is sheer.

Terrorism risk greatest for subway/rail commuters

ScienceDaily (Oct. 11, 2012) ? Despite homeland security improvements since September 11, 2001, subway and rail commuters face higher risks of falling victim to terrorists and mass violence than frequent flyers or those engaged in virtually any other activity. And while successful criminal and terrorist acts against aviation have fallen sharply, those against subways and commuter trains have surged. These are among the findings of a new study by Arnold Barnett, George Eastman Professor of Management Science at MIT's Sloan School of Management, who will deliver a presentation titled "Has Terror Gone to Ground?" at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Phoenix on October 15.

Barnett found that during the period 1982-91 deliberate acts of malice caused 1,327 deaths worldwide among air travelers, but none on subways/commuter trains. But between 2002-11, the pattern reversed: there were 203 aviation deaths and 804 among subway/rail commuters.

Further statistics depict the implications of this reversal. A recent subway/rail commuter in the Developed World has faced twice the annual death risk of a frequent flyer, while the risk per mile traveled by subway/commuter rail was ten times as high as by air. Criminal and terrorist acts account for about 8% of the overall death risk of air travel, but they account for 88% of the mortality risk on subways and commuter railroads.

Barnett contends that this reversal does not imply that aviation security measures are less necessary; instead, it might suggest that the success of such measures has displaced criminal/terrorist activity to other venues like commuter rail systems.

Barnett paid special attention to the events on 9/11. He noted that the number of air passengers killed on that day -- at 232 -- was similar to the death tolls in later bombings on the commuter rail systems of Madrid and Mumbai, and in an arson attack on a South Korean subway. What made 9/11 singularly horrible was the enormous death toll on the ground (2,700 killed).

Subsequent measures to secure airline cockpits may be the reason that there have been no further attacks that used commercial airlines as weapons. Indeed, Barnett notes, the most publicized of the recent air-terror plots -- the shoe bomber, the underwear bomber, the liquid-explosives plot, the ink-cartridge bombs -- have reverted to trying to blow up airplanes, the primary tactic that was used before 9/11 with greater success.

Barnett notes that even among subway/rail commuters, the risk of falling victim to terrorism or mass violence was very low in the last decade, at approximately 1 in 2 million per year. But because successful terrorism has such far-reaching consequences, Barnett argues, the prevention of rail terrorism warrants high priority. Stopping attackers once they reach stations and trains has proved difficult, so the most realistic way to prevent attacks might be to uncover and thwart terror plots at earlier stages. It was good intelligence work that averted a planned 2009 attack on the New York subway, not security measures at Times Square or Grand Central Terminal.
